Delighted. I found this product cleaned the air in our bedroom, and when you walk in air smells fresh, (our problem was dust only / non smokers). Both sleeping very much better. Good looking unit, looks well put together. Silent running. The only thing to be wary of is the smell. Personally think it’s a clean smell, Certainly not strong, but noticeable in the background. Would err on the side of swimming pool / clean bleach smell, rather than seaside ozone. 10/10 Recommend.

I’m quite critical with regard to electrical and technological purchases – they can cost a pretty penny if you buy a decent unit and they should do their bloody job that you paid for them to do. This absolutely does.
Admittedly, for the first couple of months, it did smell rather chlorine/plastic/peculiar.
However, this DOES wear off and thereafter DOES smell of Sea Breeze – an absolute marvel, I have to hasten to add, so much so that now I’m ordering a second so I don’t have to keep carting it back and forth.
Brilliant for any room refreshment- and it DOES ‘Clear’ the air.
Leave on for 3 hrs whilst you go shopping, with a window open slightly to start until unit has ‘settled in’ and initial ‘new’ smell has subsided, and …..
….. your room/s shall be refreshed.

Great device. Caused a bad smell at first but if you open a door or window, after a few days it goes away. If it starts hissing, you just clean the needle points with moist toilet paper but be careful, the needles are quite sharp.Wash the dust collection blade every month for long term effectiveness. The air in my lounge feels fresh and clean, like after a thunder storm. It removes smoke well and no need to open a window anymore. Its great. I have it in low setting at night and a high setting during the day, as I live in a studio flat. Worth the money!!!! The device is not just a ioniser…its also a air cleaner just like the ones with fans. It has a filter just like the ones with fans. Read the instructions and you will not be disappointed and look after it. One other thing, dont use rubbing alchohol, moist toilet paper is best. The hissing goes away sooner and stays away longer.

This is my second unit as I was impressed with the xj-1000 which I have placed in the bedroom they do smell a bit but wears off they are very quiet and do a very good job

As I suffer from I breathing problems, I find these ionisers are wonderful, especially when it’s the season for pollen to be floating around. The ioniser plate ‘catches’ the pollen, dust, animal dander etc., and basically cleans the air, leaving a fresh smell to the rooms. These are silent, and so you don’t even notice them. They’re extremely easy to clean as well. You just unscrew (using fingers) the base plate, and remove the metal bars inside. I wipe them over with a damp cloth, dry them, and put them back in again.
